 The Process:

  1. select books
  2. Ask students what they know about elements and compounds
  3. Introduce the lesson – it in 2 parts elements and compounds
  4. We will be listening and interacting with lessons online in elements and compounds in the first lesson
  5. A quiz is at the end of the interactive lesson
  6. The second lesson will be about how the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Mayans used metals and metal compounds to create jewelry
  7. Each student will select one ancient people and research their jewelry in either Britannica or WorldBook
  8. They will describe what the jewelry was made of, how it was made and draw an example
