Volcanoes

 

 

 

 

  Introduction

You have been studying about volcanoes in your classroom. We will be using your new knowledge to create your own online presentations.

 

 

 

 

  The Task

You will be creating a powerpoint presentation about volcanoes to show me what you know AND you will be learning about slide transitions. Once you have completed the presentation, I will upload them onto the web for you to show your family and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  The Process

1.     Open up Powerpoint and save your file.

2.   Type in first text box “All About Volcanoes”

3.   Type in the lower text box “ By First Initial Last Initial” and your classroom teacher’s name. For example Mr. Parisi’s Class

4.   Insert a new slide

5.   Click on it to open it

6.   Next you will be going into either Britannica or World Book to do keyword searches volcanoes (see links below)

7.   Use pictures and information you find in either Britannica or World Book to create your slide show presentations.

 

8.   Information you must include (6 slides in all):

Where did the world “volcano” come from

What is a volcano?

What is lava?

What are the 2 most common types of volcanoes? Include a picture on each slide

2 slides of famous volcanoes

8. Slide Transitions

Choose on transition for all slides

Choose a animation scheme for slides

9. Include the source information on the first slide of your presentation
