Introduction

Biographies of famous African Americans.

The Task

Brittanica En cyclopedia created a Black History Unit. You get choose a subject that interests them and create a timeline that shows the contributions that African Americans have made to that field.

The Process

1. Click on this link – if asked for a id and password – enter studentwb, password.

2. IF when you get into Brittanica – it brings you to the main page, click on MIDDLE SCHOOL EDITION – scroll down to Black History Link.

3. Read main page in Black History.

4. Click on Biographies, and read them.

5. Open up Timeline PPT under 6^th Grade on WebQuest Page

6. Create a timeline in PowerPoint placing these famous people and their accomplishments on it.

Conclusion

Placing famous people and their accomplishments in a timeline allows you to see the incremental gains of African Americans.
