Grinnell Glacier

 

 

 

 

  Introduction

Last week we celebrated Earth Day. This week you will be making a slide show about the Grinnell Glacier and  how it has changed over the past 70 years.

 

 

 

 

  The Task

You will be creating a powerpoint presentation about glaciers and the Grinnell Glacier. You are to use all of your skills to create the ppt presentation using the slide transition and animation functionality in PowerPoint.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  The Process

1.     Open up Powerpoint and save your file

LastNameFirstNameGlacier.

2.   Type in first text box “Grinnell Glacier”

3.   Type in the lower text box “ By First Initial Last Initial” and your classroom teacher’s name. For example Mr. Parisi’s Class

4.   Insert a 8 new slides

5.    Next you will be going into Britannica to do keyword search on Glacier

6. Copy and paste in what a glacier is, be sure to copy and paste the citation at the bottom of the page.

7. Using the links in the Resources section, copy and paste one picture into a slide. BE SURE TO TYPE IN THE YEAR THE PICTURES were taken!

8.   You should have 7 slides with pictures AND the year the picture was taken.

9. Next you will put the slides in order by year.

10. Now, add your slide transistion and animation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Conclusion

Your presentations will be uploaded for everyone to learn from – great job!
